QuickTip – Resetting Password over RDP

I like a lot of people connect into some of the companies I manage via a Management Host.  This is usually a Windows Server and then gives access to tools / systems that are needed to manage the systems, the only problem I regularly get is with this is when it comes to password reset time, how to change this via RDP always give me a seconds pause for how to do this.

As a quick 2 minute tip see below for the method I always follow and tell everyone when they ask me:

from the RDP Session in the start menu locate the on-screen keyboard, then press CTRL + ALT on your physical keyboard and with the mouse click the delete button on the onscreen keyboard.

Alternatively from your keyboard use the key combination CTRL + ALT + END.
